18th October 2020 (Reminiscing Last Session)

Returning back from work at around 10 pm, I started imagining the time 12hrs from then. It gave shivers down my spine, I was in that memory of spending time in live sessions during the past few months and suddenly I got a message from Noor Al Ain (a fellow from Amal): “Taimoooorrr, you didn’t send your sad selfie.” At that point, I thought I should send a video while crying but my boothi (horrible face) made me change my mind. I went to one of my photographer cousin and asked him to take my photo. I slept late that night and woke up a bit late. I planned to join session at 8 am but got a bit late in doing that. Joined the session at around 9:45 am. At that time our program facilitators were calling everybody to join the session, received the message of “Amal family is calling you” one last time in the WhatsApp group.

With every passing second, I was realizing how much I am gonna miss all this. You know there is one good thing about the online sessions as compared to physical ones. No one can see your feelings through your body language, one can fake them easily. Holding my emotions behind the screen, I was laughing and seeing those beautiful faces. The session started with Ma’am Anum’s request to sing a song.

The session followed with a game. Before the game, Sir Ahmad created such hype, that for a moment I was nervous knowing how critically our team would have to participate to win. The teams were divided into two. Sir Ahmad’s team and Ma’am Anum’s. The game was to solve a riddle to know an object’s name, find that in your house and take a picture with that object. It was really fun to play that game (though our team lost the game).

Sir Ahmad then started telling about something which Ma’am Anum had prepared for all of us. Taking our expectations to the sky, Ma’am Anum added: “This is all I was able to do.” And till now I am thinking of the humble, loving, down to earth human being hidden inside Ma’am Anum. As what Ma’am prepared was a presentation having a title and a little description of all our fellows. She didn’t miss a single fellow. I wish I could meet Ma’am in person and thank her personally for preparing that beautiful presentation.

During the presentation, Sir Ahmad was adding comments to each fellow’s description and I am in that moment right now hearing those beautiful laughs and that feeling. I actually had no idea, and got to know this in fellowship that I have a female version of me, you guys also may see her.

The heading has a mistake, it is “Female Version of Taimoor”

Though the time passed and the whole presentation came to an end. During the presentation, Sir Ahmad at some point said: “I am waiting for Taimoor’s turn!”. And I had a gut mehsoosment saying inside me: “Beta ijjat hony wali hai hahahah!”. And trust me, my first reaction seeing that title and description was: “Whaaaatttttt!”.

If I could show how decent photos the rest of my fellows got, you could anticipate my reaction!

Though, later due to some reason our meeting ended, but Sir and Ma’am called us back asking us to wait for one more surprise. It was a farewell video. I was unable to control my emotions at that time, knowing this is the last session I had to leave the meeting before it was ended by the host. As it was Zuhur prayer time, I went to Masjid and cried my heart out praying for all my fellows to get what they aim for, and praying for our facilitators to achieve the heights of success.

Prayers and Wishes for all my dear fellows!
